Those eyes! If you have not already melted, please go and get a heart for fuck sake!
Anyways.
So, this dude just turned up one day at the backdoor and refused to go away - especially after I let him use my legs as scratchposts. And milk. I would have loved to take him inside and keep forever. But let's just say I could not do that. Thinking he had just forgotten his way to his home, I took him outside - on the street. (Ever heard of walking a cat?!!) I ran away while he was busy looking under a car. Guess what? After half an hour, he was hanging at the door frame, meowing furiously - "Let me in, you asshole!" style.
Long story short. I put a box with some linen etc in it - to keep him warm overnight. He was there the next morning. And in the afternoon, and evening. I took him in for a day. Giving him to the public (kill) shelter would have been a disaster if they could not find a home in few days. So, finally, my cat-loving and cat-keeping neighbors took him in for few days. Now he is away to a pet-friendly shop, all nice and clean. Still looking in your eyes with those soul-piercing innocent look he knows to put on. Hope he finds a nice home.
They called him Boo-boo. We called him Lucky Singh.
